Ms. Bass has an extensive background in both commercial and gospel music. Pat Bass was a member of Miss Dunns’ Stars of Tomorrow along with Michael Difiglia (Michael Bennett), a former school mate.

Ms. Bass attended Rosary Hill College in Buffalo, New York. She toured as a member of the 5th Dimension for two years, and toured as well through Europe and Japan as a solo artist. While she was in Germany, Ms. Bass toured with the Airmen of Note on a good will tour of the Armed Forces. Her stage experience includes The Johnny Carson Testimonial, The Vikki Carr Show, Merv Griffin Show, and the Lou Rawls Show.

Gospel Credit for Ms. Bass includes directing The Divine Guidance Choraliers and Affirmation. Ms. Bass can currently be heard on music tune “Weepin Woman Blues,” a duet with Queen Latifiah in the HBO film “Bessie”.

Other accomplishments includes: the Bravo Artist Award in support of the Los Angeles Music Centers’ Education Division honoring teachers and schools for “Achievement in the Arts.” At the NABSE (National Alliance of Black School Educators) conference preparing students of African descent for the 21st century in learning, presented Ms. Bass with an award for directing the Vocal Jazz Ensemble. The L.A. Jazz Societies' Shelly Manne Memorial New Talent Award was presented to Ms. Bass for directing the LACHSA Jazz Ensemble.

Ms. Bass has directed the LACHSA Vocal Jazz Ensembles and won “First Place” at the Monterey Jazz High School Festival and Competition in 2000, 2001, 2007, 2011 and this year in 2015.

Other notable performances include: the Hal David 90th Birthday Salute Teachers Rock, the LACHSA Vocal Jazz Ensemble and the Gospel Choir combined, performed with Josh Groban. During the American Idol 2013 season, LACHSA Vocal Jazz Ensemble directed by Ms. Bass performed with 3 semifinalists. She also directed the LACHSA Gospel Choir in “Say it with Music,” a celebration of Irving Berlin at the Mark Taper Forum.

Ms. Bass is an adjunct Jazz Instructor at California State University, Los Angeles.
