BRIAN COOPER

Brian Cooper has been teaching figure drawing at LACHSA since 2016. He received his B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute and his M.F.A. from U.S.C. in 2003. Since then, Brian has been teaching drawing and painting classes at schools such as CSU Los Angeles, Chapman University, CSU Long Beach, Santa Monica College, and East Los Angeles College. He has continually exhibited his work at dozens of galleries and museums in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia, Amsterdam and Tokyo. In 2009, He received the West Prize in Philadelphia, and his work has been included in several publications like Juxtapoz, Le Monde, LA Times, Artillery Magazine, and LA Weekly.
